Oso Ristorante was packed on a Friday night. Tucked at a corner behind Outram MRT station, this fancy Italian restaurant is not quite easy to spot. However, if you see any watering hole with throngs of expats having a drink, with their fancy cars parked alongside the road. It must be OSO.
Be led up to the 2nd floor, and a brightly lit dinning area greets you. Romantic place it is not, as everyone talks loudly. It must be the food. Good food makes happy people.
Complimentary Bread
Goes well with Balsamic vinegar and Olive oil
Antipasti – Daily “treccia” buffalo milk mozzarella with ripe tomato in Capri style $20
Salad – Mixed salad in balsamico dressing with shaved “Parmigiano” cheese $16
Home made pasta – Whole wheat “stracci” with braised wild boar in red wine$23
(very meaty)
Home made pasta – affron “Tagliolini” with braised monkfish cheek “Guance” and cherry tomato $23
With one glass of wine (red & white) each, we were too stuffed to have any dessert!

Rating: ♥♥♥♥ 4.6 / 5 (Thumbs up for variety & creativity in menu, but thumbs down on pricing as it is on the high side. Service was good, although not polished. Interior decor is fairly tastefully done, but lacks the classy feel. It’s a place for relaxed dinning and for angmohs to bring their scantilly dressed SPGs to.)
